|MATCH DAY 11
Reddish Villa Under 15s came up against a good team today as they were at home Vs Glossop North End. We had'nt come across Glossop before so did not really know what to expect if im totally honest. Unfortunatley i was unable to get to the game untill around 10 minutes into 2nd half due to Family commitments. After speaking to Paul im able to do a small report on the game below....
1st Half ....
Villa were by far the better team in the 1st half playing some great looking football in all areas of the pitch. Was'nt long before Villa took the lead via a smart move and finish from Alessandro Sivori.. Well done pal. Game carried on with Villa in total control. As the half carried on Villa went 2-0 up via a messy own goal from the away team. Soon after this Abdul Kidiri found room inside the box to put Villa 3-0 up at the break.
Glossop North End-0
2nd Half began as the 1st ended with Villa in total control. Not really much to report regarding 2nd Half as the pitch was very quickly becoming very heavy and slow. The lads did create a number of chances but just could not add to the score. Then Villa were awarded a free kick just inside Glossops half. Their was only one lad who was capable of testing the keeper from this kind of distance.... Step up Zack Butterworth who calmly strolled upto the ball and smashed it towards goal giving Glossops keeper no chance as the ball smashed the back of the net...Outstanding finish pal well done. With Villa now 4-0 the game slowly filterd out to the final whistle.
Reddish Villa -4

Yet another great win for the lads today and yet ANOTHER clean sheet. Well done to everyone involved and also a huge well done to Man Of The Match Shaun Burnham....
Also id like to say a HUGE THANKYOU yet again to Isaac Paddon who stepped in for injured Dom Loftus in the sticks. Didnt really have much to do in the game but without Isaac over the last few games the Under 15s would not be where they are at this moment in time... Isaac i PROMISE you will get your chance to smash a few goals in soon but in the mean time thankyou for being such a great team player pal. Your time will come sooner rather than later i promise.
Well done boys keep up the great work.

|MATCH DAY 10
AWAY VS MARPLE
Today’s game was never going to be easy. With the boys’ stopping Marple from winning the league last season I am sure Marple would be out for revenge today. With the game being played on a 4g pitch I told the boys not to even think about playing long balls over the top as they were more than capable of keeping the ball on the floor and playing the game how it should be played. Could the lads keep up their great form from the last few games.
The game began very tight as both teams knew what the other team was capable of doing. The game slowly began to flow Villa’s way after around 10 minutes as the lads started to play some great looking football creating chance after chance. Marple were not to be underestimated at any point as they also began to push through the middle of the park causing a few problems for Villa’s back line. With around 20 minutes gone in the game it was starting to flow Villa’s way as the lads were causing Marple problem’s time and time again coming very close on a number of occasions. Coming closer than the rest was Alessandro Sivori as he managed to find some room on the edge of the box he smashed the ball towards goal which then cracked the crossbar and bounced down on the line for Marple to clear. (unlucky pal great effort). The half filtered out with Villa looking in control just a shame the boys couldn’t capitalize on the pressure they put Marple under in the 1st half.
Had a chat with the lad’s In the break and told them they were not doing much wrong and to once again start believing in themselves a bit more and take the odd gamble on the pitch to push for that early goal in the 2nd half. The lad’s seemed more than up for it as they were slightly frustrated themselves that they hadn’t taken a lead into the half time break.
The 2nd half began as the 1st ended with Villa looking strong creating a couple of early chances to take the lead. Could not have asked for more from the boys as it was a pleasure to stand back and admire the football they were playing. Then with around 50 minutes gone in the game Alessandro Sivori broke down the left slotting the ball to Kieron Simpson who then drove into the box and drilled the ball through the crown of players into the bottom corner of the net to put Villa 1-0 up. Great finish pal well done. The game carried on with Villa looking in control pushing towards goal coming close very close a number of times. With around 60 minutes gone in the game Villa came under pressure as Marple broke free and caused stand in Keeper Isaac Paddon to pull off a great save low down to his left post. If anything this did Villa a favour as it was a bit of a wakeup call as they only had that one goal lead. That soon changed, With 60 minutes gone in the game, The ball was neatly passed around the pitch via the Villa lads ending with a great ball from the centre of the pitch falling to Abdul Kidiri who then took the ball past the back line and smashed the ball home to put Villa 2-0 up in the game. With the boys now in total control Marple began to slow down and give up slightly letting the lads cause problem after problem. The game was coming to an end with only minutes left on the clock but there was still time for one more goal, Kieron Simpson broke free down the left and flew past Marples back line then cut the ball across to Dapo who was pounding towards goal who neatly slotted the ball home to finish the game off. Couple of minutes later the full time whistle blew.
To say I am proud of the boys is an understatement as they were outstanding today from the start. Keep on playing like that and I am almost sure we can have success this season. Huge well done to everyone involved today parents included and a huge mention and pat on the back to Isaac Paddon who stood in for injured Dom Loftus in the sticks today. Great game pal well done. Also great man of the match performance from star man Kieron Simpson. Your best game for Villa so far pal well done.
Great gametoday boys well done. Keep up the great work.

|MATCH DAY 9
AT HOME VS MACCLESFIELD PANTHERS
With Curzon not playing in League today and Vulcans dropping points this morning it was very important the lads picked up some points today against last season’s champions so we can stay top of the table over the Christmas period.
The game began with the Villa lad’s looking more than up for the challenge. As the game got going both teams began to play some smart football all over the park. Villa slowly began to take control creating a couple of chances to take the lead. Then with around 10 minutes gone in the game Villa pushed forward via some great passing by Owen and Cade in the centre of the pitch ending with the ball falling to Kieron Simpson who drove the ball home via a slight deflection to put Villa 1-0 up.
With the lads now in control could they now push on and put Macclesfield under the cosh. If only football was that simple. Macclesfield now began to grow in confidence and started to push for the equalizer and if it wasn’t for Dom Loftus in the Villa sticks Villa could have easily have found themselves 2 or 3 behind. The 1st half filtered out with both teams battling all over the pitch.
REDDISH VILLA -1
MACCLESFIELD PANTHERS -0
Had a chat with the boys in the break and told them that they had to believe in themselves a little bit more as I thought they were beginning to look a little nervous towards the end of the 1st half. Got them pumped up and sent them back out for the 2nd half.
The 2nd half began and it seemed the lads took everything on board as they started to pass the ball around with great confidence. Villa created a number of chances early on coming very close on a number of occasions pushing Macclesfield’s keeper to his limit. At this point I think it may be worth noting that the ref was slowly but surely beginning to slow this game right down stopping the game every time someone went to the floor for either team. Then with around 55 minutes gone Villa broke down the right with a smart move via Kieron who drove the ball to Abdul just inside the box who then slotted the ball past the keeper to put Villa 2-0 up.
Villa were now in total control as around 10 minutes later it was time for the goal of the game. The ball started with Dom in the sticks who threw the ball down the line to Dapo who then drove forward and after a neat one two down the left nipped inside and smashed the ball home in the top corner giving the keeper no chance. OUTSTANDING individual effort pal well done. The game carried on with Villa coming close yet and yet again even having a great team goal ruled out for offside….???
With the game coming close to the end Macclesfield still carried on pushing and pushing and I will hold my hands up and applaud their efforts and if it wasn’t for Dom Loftus yet again Macclesfield may have pulled one back but Dom made an outstanding save low down to his right to give Villa yet again another clean sheet. The game came to an end with both teams giving everything they could all game.
REDDISH VILLA -3
MACCLESFIELD PANTHERS -0
Not going to go into the situation regarding the ref’s performance as he did give out 4/5 yellows and a Red but didn’t want to mention this as I didn’t want to spoil what was a great team effort today… The ref has scrapped all his card’s and won’t be sending them in after I had a civil chat after the game. He did hold his hands up and say he got it wrong. Nice to see a Referee hold his hands up and apologise when he gets in wrong can’t ask for more than that as everyone makes mistakes once in a while.
Outstanding team effort today from the whole team. That’s another 3 points and yet another clean sheet well done boy’s. That now put’s us 5 points clear at the top putting the teams below us under some great pressure. Man of The Match today goes to Domanic Loftus in the Villa goal. Outstanding performance today pal, Nice to know we can rely on you if needed you pulled off a number of match winning save’s throughout the game today pal well done..
See everyone at training Thursday.

|COUNTY CUP 2ND ROUND
Reddish Villa Vs Urmston Meadows
Time to test ourselves in the County Cup today and with the squad being trimmed due to 3 of the lads choosing their Saturday team for the County Cup this was always going to be a tough challenge. Wasn’t too sure what level the opposition were at so the lads were told not to hold back and just make sure we progress to the 3rd round..
The game began with Villa looking more than up for the challenge creating a couple of chances very early on. Then with around 5 minutes gone Isaac Paddon picked up the ball on the edge of the box and drilled the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up. The game carried on with Villa in total control creating chance after chance causing nothing but problems for Urmston’s back line. Surely it was only a matter of time that Villa would add to the score and they did with a great move down the right ending with the ball falling to Abdul Kadiri who neatly rounded the keeper to put Villa 2-0 up in the game. The game now began to slow down slightly as the lads took their foot off the gas letting Urmston pick up some confidence as they tested Dom in the sticks on a couple of occasions but as always he stood his ground and pulled off a couple of match winning saves. The lads then began to pick up the pace again and totally took control of the game. As the clock was approaching 30 minutes it was time for Kieron to have a well deserved shot at goal which he did with some power almost breaking the back of the net, keeper had no chance Villa now 3-0 up and in total control of the game. The half filtered out with Villa playing some outstanding football.
Reddish Villa -3
Urmston Meadows -0
Had a chat with the lads in the break and just told them to go out and start having a little fun as a team. And wow did they have fun.
As the second half began Villa were looking amazing playing some outstanding football all over the field, Can’t really put into words what happened over the next 40 minutes so I will keep it short. The lads TOTALLY DOMINATED the game in the second half as goals were going in from everyone. The goals were scored by , Abdul 50, Dapo 55, Yemi 60, Dapo 65, Cade 67, Kieron 68,75, Alessandro 78, Shaun 80 and Alissandro 81. To say we had fun was an understatement.

Away Vs High Lane
With the boys now back at the top of the table after last weeks no show from Inter Pfa this game was as important as ever as we need to keep the pressure on the teams just below us. And as we all are starting to realise there is no such thing as an easy game in this League this season.
The game started a bit slow as both teams tried their best to take control. Both keepers were called upon early in the game as chances were being created at both ends of the field. The first half hour flew by but still neither team seemed to dominate the game, there was some great football being played by Villa at some points in this half causing High Lanes back line a number of problems time and time again, As the half time whistle was approaching I decided to make some positional chances on the pitch that seemed to work wonders as it wasn’t too long before Villa began to take control of the game, Then with minutes left till the whistle blew for half time Alissandro Sivori made a break down the right ending with him cutting into the box towards goal and just before he could get his shot away he was hacked down on route and the ref had no option but to award a spot kick to Villa, Zack casually stepped up and slammed the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up in the game, Couple of minutes later the ref blew his whistle for half time.
High Lane – 0
Reddish Villa – 1
Had a chat with the lads at the break and told them that everything they were doing was fine but just wanted them to believe in themselves a bit more and take a few gambles to add to the score. The lads knew what was needed and they could not wait to get out for the second half.
The second half began strong for Villa as the lads looked like they had something to prove. The lads slowly began to totally dominate the game from here on in as High Lane just could not get involved at all and this was down to some great individual efforts from the Villa lads. Then with around 10 minutes gone in the second half Villa turned up the heat on High Lane as they seemed to up it a couple of gears and attacked the oppositions goal constantly. Then the boys had what was probably their best 15 minutes of the season so far. Not too sure on the order but Villa managed to score 4 unanswered goals in a very short space of time killing the game off, Some outstanding finishing from the boys ending with Owen Pollitt scoring 2 and Alissandro and Abdul also netting one each as well. With the score now 5-0 to Villa the game was in the bag but the boys still carried on pushing towards goal with some great football being played all over the field. Then from out of nowhere High Lane broke free on the edge of Villas box ending with a smart finish into the bottom corner of the net. Score now 5-1 to Villa. Game carried on with Villa in total control then it was time for the goal of the game, The ball was passed from our back line into midfield who then pushed the ball up to Owen Pollit who smartly back healed the ball through the defenders legs to Abdul who the neatly slotted the ball past the keeper to put Villa 6-1 up.
There was only around 10 minutes left at this point but to give High Lane a bit of credit they didn’t give up the fight at all as they themselves added to the score after a misunderstanding at the back from Villa ending with High Lane rolling the ball in the net to put the score at 6-2. Wasn’t long after this that Owen Pollitt grabbed his Second hat trick in two days with his goal of the game lobbing the keeper from around 25 yards hitting the cross bar on the way in. The game filtered out with Villa in total control. Few minutes later the ref blew for full time.
High Lane – 2
Reddish Villa – 7
Great effort today from EVERYONE involved. Great team performance and also nice to see the whole team playing for each other all game. Great effort from the lads who started on the bench as always. Really starting to come together as a squad now boys please keep up the hard work and I will see you all at training Thursday.
Also it was very difficult to single out anyone for the Man of The Match today as the whole squad played very well but in the end it was given to Owen Pollitt who just did not stop all game. Great effort pal well done.
No League game now for two weeks as we have cup games scheduled.

|MATCH DAY 6
Away vs Curzon
After letting slip and losing in the last game away to Cheadle & Gatley it was a must that we did not lose today’s game away to current leaders Curzon. It was a must that we take something away from this game today with the Lads currently sat in 2nd place just 1 point behind Curzon at the top. Could the boys bounce back strong after their surprised defeat in the last game.
The game began at a high tempo as both teams knew that a win would be a huge result regarding League table position. Villa looked in great form early on in the game creating a couple of early chances causing Curzon a few problems at the back via some great work from the lads on the wing. Curzon themselves began to grow in confidence as the game got flowing keeping Villa’s back line on their toes. The game carried on with either team looking good to take the lead, Then with around 15 minutes gone in the game Villa broke down the left and drove the ball into Curzon’s box and after a bit of a scramble the ball fell to Owen Pollitt’s feet around 10 yards out who then neatly smashed the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up.
The game restarted with Curzon more than up for the fight back as they seemed to slowly grow in confidence and cause a number of problems for the boys at the back. Villa managed to create a few efforts at goal themselves coming very close a number of times. The game was turning into a great battle all over the park. Then with around 25 minutes gone Curzon smashed a ball up top that Villa struggled to clear and the ball fell perfect for their main man up front who smartly went on to score and level the game up at 1-1. At this point I wasn’t sure how the lads would react to the score being level but I will hold my hands up to the WHOLE team as they seemed to want this more than ever. Just before the half time whistle went Curzon pushed towards goal via a great run down the right ending with a shot that was heading towards the back of the net but Dom Loftus in the sticks was having none of it and made an OUTSTANDING save down to his bottom right corner. (A great match winning save pal well done) a minute or two later the ref blew for half time.
Had a chat with the team at half time and told them they were more than capable of winning this one but also warned them that Curzon were also more than capable of taking all 3 points from the game as well.
The second half began a bit slow as I think both teams were a little worried about going behind in the game. To say this game was a top of the table clash it didn’t let the spectators down as there was some great football being played by both teams. Surely it was only a matter of time before either team scored again as there was chances being created all over the pitch and everyone knew that the next goal in this game would probably be the winner. With both teams playing very well all over the pitch pressure was beginning to build and still chances were being created at both ends. Curzon were looking very dangerous every time they broke out of midfield but no matter what they tried Dom Loftus in the sticks was more than matching their efforts with a few match wining saves to keep Curzon out. Villa did create chances as well but just could not find that all important finishing touch in front of goal. The game carried on with both myself and Curzon’s Manager looking for that full time whistle as this game was tight and if I am totally honest neither team was on top and a draw would be a fair result. The game filtered out and after a few dodgy decisions by the referee close to the end both teams managed to hold on for the draw. A very hard fought point earned by both teams.
CURZON – 1
REDDISH VILLA – 1
A great team effort today by everyone involved, Carry on playing like that boys and we will do ok this season i am sure of it. Also like to give a HUGE mention to the 3 lads that started on the bench, Not only did they give 100% when they came on but there attitude towards myself regarding starting on the bench was outstanding. Well done to the whole squad today would have been great to get all 3 points but I can’t argue with the effort you all put in. Keep up the great work.
Great Man of The Match performance from Dominic Loftus in the sticks who made a few outstanding saves today as well as great organisation around his penalty area.
Well done pal.

AWAY VS CHEADLE & GATLEY
Huge game for the boys today as every game in this League is not going to be a walk in the park. Must put in a huge effort today to get points out of this game.
The game started with Villa looking full of confidence pushing towards goal from the off. Then with around 5 minutes gone Villa stormed towards goal via Isaac in midfield who passed the ball onto Owen Pollitt who smartly slotted the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up. The game carried on with Villa looking in total control. Then on 10 minutes it was getting all too easy as after a long range shot via Isaac Paddon Cheadles keeper spilled the ball into the path of Owen Pollitt who then put Villa 2-0 up. The game should now have been put to bed but just before the half time whistle Cheadle pulled a goal back via a smart move down the left ending with a neat finish.
CHEADLE & GATLEY -1
REDDISH VILLA -2
Half time team talk was just a case of letting the boys know that Cheadle were not out of this game.(WOW WHAT AN UNDERSTATEMENT)
The 2nd half began and Villa went to sleep letting Cheadle take total control. Cheadle took over the game putting the ball in the net twice before we could even get going again. With the score now being 3-2 to Cheadle surely Villa would pick themselves up and take back control of the game. Just as the boys slowly began to put in an effort again Cheadle were awarded a very soft spot kick which they smartly put away to put the home team up 4-2. The game then carried on with Cheadle looking up for taking all 3 points. With around 10 minutes left on the clock and needing goals fast Villa went to 3 at the back and pushed the rest forward to push for them much needed goals. Villa then pushed forward created chance after chance, If it wasn’t for Cheadle’s keeper we would have got straight back on top in this game but he pulled of a number of outstanding saves. With around 5 minutes left villa broke into the box via Abdul who got hacked down and was given a penalty that Zack Butterworth stepped up and smashed home. Score now 4-3 to Cheadle. A minute later full time whistle went and Cheadle celebrated like they had just won the League. Just didn’t fight back early enough boys. If we would have played the whole of the second half the way we played last 10 minutes this game would not have been the same outcome. I am tired of telling the team how tough EVERY team is in this League this year but yet again because they were sat 2nd from bottom of the table Villa just thought they could walk through the game with little effort. Don’t like to complain but I know the team can play MUCH BETTER.
CHEADLE & GATLEY -4
REDDISH VILLA -3
Man of The Match today goes to Shaun Burnham who came on at half time and seemed to be the only Villa player bothered that we were getting turned over by a very average team. Good effort Shaun. Well done pal.
The less said about Villas second half performance the better. We MUST DO BETTER if we want to win anything this season. I know we can’t win them all but that effort in the second half was not good enough. We must pick ourselves up fast as we have a difficult couple of games coming up.
See EVERYONE at training Thursday.

At home Vs New Mills
Match day 4 today for the Under 15s and from past experience I knew New Mills were going to be up for this one. We have had some great games over the past few years, Could the lads keep up their great work and stay top of the table.
The game began with both teams trying to find their feet early on. Villa slowly got going creating a couple of early chances to take the lead in the game. Not to be out done New Mills were surely up for this as they themselves started creating chances as well. The lads did slowly begin to take control of the game via some great wing play from both kieron and Abdul. Villa had to score first in this game as New Mills were starting to put up a huge fight all over the pitch. Then with around 15 minutes gone in the game Dapo picked the ball up from right back and pushed towards goal, As he looked up to find his target in the box he floated a great ball towards goal that somehow looped over the keeper to put Villa 1-0 up in the game (Great shot pal )Ha Ha Cross all day long but I am sure Dapo will say different. Well done pal.
Villa were beginning to look in total control at this point and surely the boys could get that important 2nd goal soon before New Mills could grab that equalizer. Both teams were playing some great looking football at times in this first half with both Goal Keepers playing a vital role at keeping the score at 1-0 with some outstanding saves. Then from out of nowhere Villa drove towards goal via Kieron down the left who then found Abdul inside the box who very calmly slotted the ball home to put Villa 2-0 up. Great finish pal well done.
There was only a few minutes left before the half time whistle went and it would have been great taking a 2 goal lead in at the half but New Mills had other ideas as Via an outstanding run down the right from New Mills number 6 who just could not be caught as he flew down the wing then smashed the ball past Dom in the sticks to pull a goal back. Nothing ANY keeper could of done regarding stopping that effort it was an outstanding finish couldn’t help but stand and applaud the strike myself. Couple of minutes later the ref blew for half time.
REDDISH VILLA – 2
NEW MILLS - 1
Had a good chat with the team at half time and told them not to slow down in the 2nd half as I knew New Mills would come out fighting. The lads were well aware that they were involved in a very tough game and knew they had to keep their foot on the gas for the rest of the game if they wanted all 3 points from this game.
The 2nd half began a bit slow with both teams looking nervous regarding going for goal as they didn’t want to make any mistakes and let the other team in. Both teams slowly started to play some great football, New Mills were beginning to look very dangerous to say the least and they looked like they were going to get that all important next goal. Villa began to let New Mills take control for the first 10 minutes in the 2nd half and I think if it wasn’t for Dom Loftus in the Villa goal this game could well have been over. The lads then began to wake up after making a couple of substitutions. We began to look dangerous again causing New Mills a number of problems all over the pitch. With around 15 minutes gone in the 2nd half I began to get a little frustrated as we were playing some great football but we just could not put the ball in the net to finish the game off. Then step up new signing Isaac Paddon who picked up the ball on the half way line and drove towards goal eventually letting fly from just outside the opponent’s box drilling the ball into the bottom left corner giving the keeper no chance. Outstanding effort pal well done. WELCOME TO VILLA.
Villa now 3-1 up in the game and looking in total control .The game carried on with both teams still pushing towards goal to add to the score. New Mills were still causing the lads a number of problems they would just not give up fighting for control they would not take defeat lying down. Then with around 15 minutes left in the game it was time for Alessandro Sivori to have his moment via some great work on the edge of the box via Kieron who smartly slotted the ball through to Alessandro who then calmly drilled the ball home to put the game to bed once and for all. Yet another great finish pal well done.
With Villa now 4-1 up surely New Mills would just see the game out with little effort, If only it was that simple as within a few minutes from us going 4-1 up New Mills grabbed another via a scramble on the line ending in a goal for the opponent’s . Score now 4-2 with around 10 minutes left to full time. The game then went all New Mills way as they just smashed the ball towards goal causing problem after problem for the boys at the back, At this point I would like to mention what an OUTSTANDING job Jake Croke was doing keeping New Mills star man as quite as possible as everything New Mills were doing was going through him. The game was almost over when New Mills had a goal ruled out for offside (correct decision) they were not going down without a fight. Just happy that they didn’t have the time to get themselves back into the game as they were starting to play some great football. Minutes later the ref blew for full time.
FULL TIME SCORE

Great game of football today and it was nice to see the boys pushed all the way to the end. Huge well done to New Mills as well as they gave us a game and a half. Away Vs Reddish Vulcans
The Team have had a great start to the Season so far. This fixture is always one that teams are not really expected to take many points away from and to say we have never taken all 3 points from this fixture in the past we knew we were in for a tough game today.
The game began with Villa looking fairly confident, playing some good looking football in all areas of the pitch. The lads then starting feeding the ball forward causing Vulcans a number of problems early on and surely it was only a matter of time before Villa took the lead but the goal just did not come, Time and time again the boys pushed towards goal but just couldn’t put the finishing touches to some great passages of play throughout. Don’t get me wrong Villa were not in total control as Vulcans turned defence into attack a few times in the first 20 minutes and if it wasn’t for Dom Loftus in the Villa goals we could well of found ourselves behind on a couple of occasions. Couple of match winning saves pal well done. To say it was huge who got that all important 1st goal was a big understatement. And then with around 30 minutes gone in the game Villa finally made their dominance count with a smart move down the middle with the ball falling at Yemi Kilas feet who then went on to somehow scramble the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up. Well done pal….
Villa smartly played out the rest of the half with some outstanding defensive work.

Had a chat with the team at the break and told them that it was now at this point that the test began. As I have mentioned on a number of occasions in the past the lad’s sometimes struggle to put a game of this importance to bed and have at times let the opponents’ back into the game far too easy.
The 2nd half began with both teams looking more than up for the fight as time and time again the ref was stopping the game giving foul after foul for both teams early on. To say the game was turning into a battle it was looking more like a war. The game was beginning to get a bit tight all over the pitch with some very strong tackles coming in from all angles but Villa just began to get stronger and stronger every time Vulcans got in our way. At this point I would like to mention how well the team were performing all over the park with some great individual efforts. Yemi Kila was outstanding and having the game of all games not allowing Vulcans any free time on the ball at all. Great effort pal well done…
The game carried on with Villa creating chance after chance and surely it was only a matter of time before the lads added to the score. Then with around 60 minutes gone in the game our main man up top Alessandro Sivori ran onto the ball and drove towards Vulcans goal ending with a great finish to put Villa 2-0 up. Great finish yet again pal well done.
Villa then carried on causing problem after problem in the game but Vulcans just would not give up then with around 10 minutes left of the game Vulcans played the ball over our back line to their man up top who neatly finished the move off putting Vulcans right back into the game. With all subs now on the pitch Villa pushed for that crucial goal to see Vulcans off. With minutes remaining on the clock new boy Isaac could not have come any closer to seeing the game off with a rocket from around 30 yards that smashed the crossbar. Unlucky pal. The game was finally put to bed when Abdul made a great run down the right twisting and turning then eventually smashing the ball home to give Villa a well deserved 3 points.

Home Vs Spurley Hey
After a great away win last week against the current Champion’s it was crucial we didn’t take a step back today at Home Vs Spurley Hey. After getting knocked out of the League Cup last season vs Spurley it was time for pay back.
After a good chat with the lad’s before the game Villa were more than up for this one knowing that a win today would put us in a strong position early on in the season.
The game started with Villa looking hungry for an early goal. The lads played some great football early on coming very close on a couple of occasions. Wasn't long before the boys made the early pressure count via a smart move from Alessandro Sivori just inside Spurley Heys box ending with him slotting the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up with around 10 minutes gone. Villa then began to take total control of the game playing some great looking football all over the pitch and not really letting Spurley get hold of the ball at all. Then with around 15 minutes gone Villa went 2-0 via a smart succession of passes around the opponent’s box ending with Alessandro Sivori grabbing his 2nd of the game, two great goals from our main striker early on. Well done pal. Villa now 2-0 up and in total control of the game, Could the lads now push on and put this game to bed before the half ended.
The game carried on with Villa having all the possession of the ball playing some great football yet again, Spurley looked beat already and were starting to look scared of pushing forward as theVilla lads counter attacking football was scary at times turning defence into attack via some great work from the boys at the back. Then from a VERY LONG throw via Kieron Simpson the ball ended up in the net via a neat header from Owen Pollitt , Villa now 3-0 up and cruising. With around 25 minutes gone in the game Spurley did manage to create a chance or two coming close on a couple of occasions , Wasn’t long before Spurley broke free through our back line and slotted the ball home to pull one back. Score now. Villa-3 Spurley -1.
At this point it was down to the lads to either let Spurley back into the game or push and go for the kill. To say Villa chose to go for the kill was a huge understatement as some of the football now being played was amazing to watch. Then yet again via a HUGE THROWIN into the box from Kieron, Owen yet again ended up nodding the ball home to put Villa 4-1 up. (2 Headed goals in 1 half from Owen Pollitt. Well done pal) there was only a couple of minutes left before the half was up but Villa still pushed towards goal grabbing a free kick just outside the opponents box. Step up Zach Butterworth, Who calmly placed the ball down then smashed the ball home to put Villa 5-1. Great free kick yet again from Zach. Well done pal.
REDDISH VILLA -5
SPURLEY HEY -1
The lads couldn’t wait to get back out for the 2nd half after a quick team talk at half time.
The 2nd half began with Villa looking the team in charge yet again. Then as the game went on Spurley began to grow in confidence playing some neat football at times and slowly creating chances on goal. Villa began to slowly step off the gas and let Spurley control the game for around 10 to 15 minutes with Spurley coming close on a number of occasions but Dom made a couple of great saves in the sticks to keep them out. Then with around 65 minutes gone in the game Spurley managed to break down the middle via there number 11 in midfield (great player) who then played the ball over the top of Villa’s back line for their striker to eventually scramble the ball over the line to pull another goal back. Score now Villa -5 Spurley -2 .
After making a couple of substitutions Villa then began to take back control of the game. Didn’t take long for Villa to dominate again creating chance after chance. As the game carried on it was only a matter of time Villa would add to their score, Then step up Alessandro Sivori who picked up the ball broke through Spurley’s back line then neatly rounded the keeper to put Villa 6-2 up but more importantly grabbing his HAT TRICK goal. (Outstanding individual performance pal well done).
The game was now being totally controlled by the Villa team. The lads carried on pushing towards goal causing nothing but problems for the whole Spurley team time and time again. Time to put this game to bed, it didn’t take long to add yet another goal to the score via a smart run from Kieron Simpson who neatly ran through on goal and slotting the ball past the keeper to put Villa 7-2 up. Then with minutes left on the clock Villa broke yet again with the ball falling to Dapo’s feet on the edge of the box who then drove inside their right back and slammed the ball home to put the game to bed once and for all.

OUTSTANDING team performance today boys nice to see the squad killing a game off for once. Keep up the great work.
Outstanding Man of the Match effort from Owen Pollitt. And a great Hat Trick performance from Alessandro Sivori. Also like to mention how well the substitutes did when they came off the bench today special mention to Yemi Kila for his constant running and pressure all over the pitch. Well done pal.

|1ST game of the new season today for Villa’s under 15’s and they don’t come much bigger than this one.
Match Day 1
Away V’s Macclesfield Boys
(Current League Champion’s)
The game kicked off with both teams not really pushing to take control of the game. Villa did then start to pass the ball around the pitch and slowly gain confidence. Then with around 10 minutes into the game Shaun Burnham picked up the ball just inside the opponent's half and slotted a lovely through ball to Owen Pollitt who neatly drilled the ball past Macclesfield’s keeper to put Villa 1-0 up.
Villa then slowly began to dominate the game with some smart moves down either wing creating a number of chances for the lad’s up top. With around 20 minutes gone in the game Owen Pollitt once again found himself put through one on one with the keeper with the same outcome, neatly slotting the ball home into the bottom corner of the net .Villa now 2-0 up and in total control of the game. Two great finish’s from Owen Pollitt to put Villa out ahead. Well done pal. The game carried on with both teams creating opportunities to add to the score with Macclesfield coming close on a couple of occasions. Then to everyone’s amazement Macclesfield pushed the ball up top to their striker (who was clearly 5/6 yards offside) who smartly put the ball past Dom in the sticks to pull a goal back for the home team. To say the boy’s and the parents were gobsmacked that the goal stood was an understatement. Macclesfield then grew in confidence. (Thanks to the Ref now playing for the home team)
As the home team pushed for the equaliser, It wasn’t long before they smashed the ball over the top of our back line to the boys upfront for one of them to slot the ball into the back of the net to even things up. The half filtered out with Villa looking very shocked as to how Macclesfield managed to get back into the game.
Macclesfield Boys -2
Reddish Villa -2
After a good chat with the boy’s in the break they all seemed up for the fight in the 2nd half.
The half began a bit slow and lazy from both teams but slowly got going with Macclesfield coming close early on. The boys then started to get the ball on the floor and push for the lead. Villa we’re slowly becoming the team who looked Favourite to take the lead once again. Then with a smart move in the middle of the park Villa were awarded a free kick around 5 yards into Macclesfield’s half. Zach stepped up to take the kick and float the ball into the box. It was at this point I was advised by one of the parents who Knows Zach well that the keeper was off his line and get ready for a shot at goal. Then as I turned to tell him not to he smashed the ball up field and over the keeper to grab his first goal for Villa, Putting us back in the lead and wow what a way to do it. GREAT finish pal well done. With Villa now 3-2 up it was time to get the ball on the floor and dominate possession which we did for ten minutes or so. Then out of nowhere Macclesfield were awarded a spot kick via a clumsy challenge just inside the box. (no complaints …for once). Macclesfield calmly slotted the ball home to put them back level. 3-3
The game turned into a bit of a scrap for a while as both teams were fighting to get in front in the game. There were a few chances created at both ends of the pitch. To say the ref was having a big influence in the game was a joke as he was totally spoiling what was a hard fought game of football by giving the home team everything they shouted for. Villa then began to pick themselves up after a number of CRAZY decisions by the ref who was clearly in favour of Macclesfield taking all the points from the game. The lads carried on pushing towards goal to try and grab the winner, then with around 10 minutes left till the final whistle the ball fell to Debut Zach Butterworth on the edge of the box who drilled the ball into the back of Macclesfield goal via a deflection to put Villa back in front in the game. Surely Villa could now go on and see the game out to take all 3 points. (If only)
There wasn’t long left to the game as Macclesfield threw almost there whole team up top to try and selvedge something from the game. Then once again there 12th man came into action (The ref). Macclesfield managed to push towards our goal ending with a wild shot that flew high over the cross bar which to EVERYONES amazement the ref awarded a corner kick that Macclesfield eventually scrambled over the line to put the game back level at 4-4. The ref was unbelievable to say the least I have no idea at all how he could possibly award a corner kick via a wild shot that was smashed way over the crossbar. At this point we were approaching the last 5 minutes of the game and a win looked out of site. Villa didn’t give up the fight and carried on feeding the ball up top to get that winner, Then when the ball fell at Alessandro Savori’s feet just outside the box he turned neatly and was hacked to the floor and Villa were awarded a free kick. Step up the Man of the game Zach Butterworth. He calmly placed the ball down took his time and slotted the ball into the bottom left corner of the Macclesfield goal. The game ended a couple of minutes later and Villa took away all 3 points from the current Division 1 champions.
To say the ref did his best to get Macclesfield something out of the game he couldn’t stop the fight and great determination from the lad’s who were not going to accept anything other than victory. Great team effort boys wasn’t the best team performance but if we can beat the champions playing like that then im sure we have a great season ahead.
Well done to EVERYONE today including the great support from the Villa Parents and a HUGE round of applause for Zach Butterworth an outstanding Man of the Match performance what a way to make your competitive debut. Welcome to Reddish Villa pal.

|REDDISH VILLA||2||VS||1||REDDISH NORTH END|
|Man of the Match: JAMES WORSLEY|
|Goals Scored By: Sean Laffey and James Hussey|
|Today the lads came up against Reddish North End at home. Never a dull moment when these two teams meet. We knew North End would be more than up for this one.
The game started with both teams looking a bit nervous. Neither team wanted to take control of the game and to say Villa looked a bit below par was an understatement . This was turning out to be a very awkward game of football as all North End seemed to do was smash the ball up to our back line and just did not seem interested in getting the ball down and play some football. Also didn’t help with the Ref being a bit whistle happy and just did not allow the game to flow.Villa slowly began to push towards goal creating a couple of chances, Then with around 15 minutes gone Cade Mckenna picked up the ball on the half way and slotted a lovely ball through to Sean Laffey who floated past North Ends back line and put the ball in the back of the net to put Villa 1-0 up.
The game re started with both teams trying their best to push towards goal with both teams forcing some decent saves out of the boys in the sticks. Then with around 5 minutes left till half time North End made a smart move down the Left and drove into the box only to come up against our back four who tried their best to stop the push towards goal. Unfortunately we tried a bit too hard and gave a spot kick away via hands in the back of the player on the ball. North End neatly put the spot kick away with Dom Loftus coming VERY close to keeping it out (Great effort Dom).
Half Time 1-1
The 2nd half began as the 1st ended with neither team taking control. Not really much to shout about within the first 15 minutes. Villa did cause a few problems for North End with James Worsley coming close on a number of occasions. Then with around 15 minutes left of the game Alissandro Sivori swung a great corner in towards the back post for James Hussy to scramble the ball over the line and put villa back ahead .2-1 to Villa.
To say this game was starting to frustrate me was only the half of it. The lads (not everyone) just did not seem up for it today. The boys began to resort to North Ends style of play and began to smash the ball up field and run after it. It started to look like a game of tennis with the middle of the park stood around watching the ball fly over their heads time and time again. Then with around 5 minutes left of the game things went from bad to worse. North End drove towards goal and got themselves YET ANOTHER spot kick via a very soft challenge just inside the box. (Not Happy). For once the luck seemed to fall our way as North End smashed the ball over to leave the score at 2-1 to Villa. A couple of minutes later the full time whistle went .
Reddish Villa - 2
Reddish North End -1
Man of The Match Today…

|Yet another huge game for the Under 14s Today away Vs Poynton Vipers.
Poynton Vipers have won the 1st Div for the past 3 seasons just to be playing against them is a huge achievement in itself.
The game began with Villa looking the better team. To say we didn’t look out of place is a huge Understatement . The lads played some nice football in the first 15minutes but then Poynton began to gain confidence and started to look like they were more than up for the challenge. Villa did create a couple of chances but could not seem to test Poynton’s keeper . To say we were in the 3rd Division 2 years ago the boys were matching the League 1 Champions all over the park. Then with around 25 minutes into the game poynton struck a shot from outside the box that flew at Dom in net who tried his best to keep hold of but unfortunately the ball fell into the net putting Poynton 1-0 up.
The boys did try their best to get back in the game but Poyntons back line were very well organised and did not let us through without a fight.
Poynton Vipers -1
Reddish Villa - 0
2nd half began with both teams battling for the ball all over the pitch. Villa started to create more in front of goal and came very close on a couple of occasions but just could not find that goal we truly deserved. Poyton also created a number of chances to add to the score but Dom in the sticks made a couple of outstanding saves . This was turning out to be a very well fought game from both teams. We then knew it wasn’t going to be our day when James Hussey rose inside the box and smashed a superb header onto the cross bar we couldn’t have come any closer to scoring. After that effort Villa stepped up a gear and pushed for the equalizer causing Poyton some trouble at the back. Then with around 20 minutes left James Hussey tuck a blow to the face and had to come off with a suspected broken nose. This did not help our efforts as James is slowly becoming a very important player to the squad and we missed him straight away in the middle of the park. Wasn’t long after this that Poyton flew up the pitch and slotted the ball home to put them 2-0 up against the run of play. The boys still pushed for that goal we truly deserved but unfortunately the goal never came.
Another great effort from the boys today. Well done to everyone.
MAN OF THE MATCH….CADE McKENNA
Huge effort in the middle of the park today. Refused to give up till the final whistle went.

|Man of the Match: JAMES HUSSEY|
|Goals Scored By: Ethan Riley , Owen Pollitt and Alissandro Savori|
|Huge test for the boy’s today. After getting off to a great start in our first game today’s game was going to be a much bigger challenge considering Cheadle have finished in the top 3 for the past 3 seasons. Had a chat with the boys before the game and told them to carry on playing with the confidence they shown in the 1st game.
The game kicked off with both teams looking like they were ready for a tough game. Villa started well with some neat passing around the centre of the pitch but Cheadle were not just going to lie back and let us dominate the game. Both teams began playing some great football and creating a couple of good chances between them. Then with around 10 minutes gone Villa picked up the ball on the half way and after a nice little passage of play passing the ball from player to player the ball fell to Ethan Riley on the left and he drove into the box and slammed the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up. Great Start from the Lad’s.
Villa then tried their best to push for another goal but Cheadle were having none of it. Cheadle began to push for a goal causing our back four to do some great defending. The game carried on with both team’s creating a number of chances to add to the score this was turning out to be a very good game of football. With around 25 minutes gone Cheadle were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Cheadle struck the ball at Dom in net who managed to keep the ball out until Cheadle pounced on the re-bound to slot the ball home and put the game back level. This then opened the game up and both teams were pushing to add to the score.
Reddish Villa – 1
Cheadle & Gatley – 1
Had a chat with the boys at half time and told them to pick their heads up and carry on playing the football I know they are more than capable of. The boys seemed to look a bit deflated at half time. They just needed telling how well they were doing and also to believe they were more than capable to take all 3 points from this game.
The 2nd half began with both teams playing some great football. Villa began to push towards goal to get back in front in the game. The introduction of Sean Laffey & James Worsley at half time seemed to give Villa the pace to trouble Cheadle With James coming very close on a couple of occasions to add to the score. Then against the run of play Cheadle drove a wild shot towards goal when James Hussey’s attempted clearance went wrong and the ball ended up in the back of our net to put Cheadle ahead 1-2.
At this point I didn’t know how the lads would react. The game could now go either way depending on weather the boys were up for a fight or not. To say the boys were up for the fight was a understatement. The boys began to fight for every ball and started to get the ball on the floor and play some outstanding football. Then with around 15 minutes left of the game Villa pushed up a gear and began to look like the better team it was only a matter of time before Villa levelled up the score. Then with some smart play down the left side the ball eventually fell to Owen Pollitt who nodded the ball home to put Villa right back into the game. All back level with around 10 minutes left to play 2-2.
At this point I would have snapped your hands off for the draw as we were involved in a VERY HARD fought battle all over the pitch but the Villa lads were not yet finished and pushed for a winner. Then out of nowhere the ball got forced through to Alissandro Savori inside the box and he calmly slotted home the winner of the game.
Reddish Villa – 3
Cheadle & Gatley – 2
Man of The Match
Outstanding individual performance. After putting the ball in his own net I feared his head may have dropped but I couldn’t have asked for more from him. He picked himself up and played out of his skin.

|First game of the season today and also fist game for the lad’s in the 1st Division. Had a chat with the team before the game to let them know how important it was to get off to a strong start.
The game started with Macclesfield Panther’s looking the more nervous out of the two teams. Villa started off very strong pushing for an early goal. In all honesty Villa should have been 2-0 up within the first 10 minutes but didn’t quite have the finishing touch in front of goal. The lads carried on pushing for that all important 1st goal of the game. With Villa now starting to control the game with some neat passing and great team work it was only a matter of time before we took the lead. Then with around 12 minutes on the clock after some nice football in the centre of the pitch the ball fell to Owen Pollitt inside the box and he slotted the ball home to put Villa 1-0 up.
Macclesfield then started to grow a little in confidence and started to push towards our goal to get level only for Dom Loftus to stand strong and make a couple of routine saves. Villa now began to grow in strength and pushed for the 2nd goal. Then from nowhere the ball was played through via Shaun Burnham (great pass) to Eathan Riley who struck the ball home to put Villa 2-0 up. The boys carried on pushing for more goals. Emeka Obi couldn’t have come any closer to adding to the score via a smart header from a corner, only for their defender clearing the ball off the line. Villa still 2-0 up. Macclesfield still didn’t give up and started to play some nice football causing our defence a few problems down both wings. Macclesfield were then awarded a free kick just on the edge of the box which they smashed into the bottom corner of the net. Good finish but a lesson for the boys to get switched on a bit earlier when free kicks are awarded to the other team. Villa now 2-1 up, Within around 2 minutes of Macclesfield getting back into the game Sean Laffey’s never die attitude came to the surface with a great scrap on the edge of the six yard box ended in Sean poking the ball in the back of the net Villa now 3-1 up. Then with seconds left before the half time whistle blew Eathan Riley scored his second of the game with a smart move down the left endind with Eathan drilling the ball into the back of the net.
Reddish Villa – 4
Macclesfield Panthers – 1
2nd half began as the 1st finished with Villa on top and playing some outstanding football all over the park. I don’t think I have ever seen the lads play with so much confidence they began to start taking over the game. With around 15 minutes left to the full time whistle Owen Pollitt picked up the ball just past the half way and powered through the heart of their defence and smashed the ball home to put Villa 5-1 up. Villa still carried on playing some great looking football and kept pushing to add to the score. Then out of nowhere Macclesfield scuffed the ball into the net after a mad scramble inside the box. Need to clear our line a bit faster. Score now Villa 5-2 up .Wasn’t long left in the game but Villa had not yet finished. Owen Pollitt picked up the ball on the edge of the box and carried the ball closer to the net via an outstanding turn on the ball only for him to be brought down and the ref awarding us with a spot kick. Owen then calmly stood up to stroke the ball home putting the game to bed and scoring his Hat-Trick.
Reddish Villa – 6
Macclesfield Panthers – 2
An outstanding team performance today boy ‘s. To say that was our 1st game in the top flight I don’t know what I was ever worried about. Can’t fault anyone on today’s effort’s. Well done to EVERYONE. See you all Thursday.

|Goals Scored By: ALISSANDRO SAVORI, JORDON DOYLE, DOMANIC LESTER, SAMUEL ADITILOYE AND DAVID MORROW|
|The whole season lies on this final game. Avoid defeat today and promotion to the 1st Division is complete.
The game started with Villa pushing for an early goal to settle everyone's nerves.(mine included). The lad's played some neat football in the first 10 minutes and it was'nt long before Villa took the lead. Via a smart individual run down the middle Alissandro Savori put Villa 1-0 up with a smart finish giving the Juno keeper no chance. Then within 5 minutes of the restart Alissandro Savori created a chance down the left ending with him floating a lovely ball over to the far post for Jordon Doyle to head home. Villa 2-0 up.
At this stage i thought Villa would storm on and complete the result with an easy win.(if only)
Juno then began to fight back and it was'nt long untill they pulled one back via a scruffy scramble inside the box. Villa 2-1 up.
Then with only a few minutes left untill the whistle went to end the half Juno were awarded a very soft spot kick which they gracefully put away.
Half Time 2-2
After a strong half time team talk the lad's came out for the second half with a bit more spirit. Was'nt long before Villa started to dominate the game playing some outstanding football spreading the ball from left to right and causing nothing but problems for Juno's back four. Then via a smart move down the left Domanic Lester smartly sloted the ball home to put Villa back in front and in control. Villa 3-2 up.
Villa then went from strenth to strenth playing probably some of the best football ive seen from the boy's all season. Only a matter of time before Villa were going to add to the score and what a way to do it. Samuel Aditiloye picked up the ball about 30 yards out, took on a couple of player's then SMASHED the ball into the roof of the net leaving the Juno keeper standing still. OUTSTANDING finish.
Villa 4-2 up
With the final whistle in sight the boy's kept on pushing for more, Then out of nowhere David Morrow picked up the ball on the edge of the box and stormed towards goal ending with a neat finish to put the game to bed..

|Only one game left after today so this game was a must win if we want to push for promotion and the title........
1st half kicked off with Villa looking strong. With around 10 minutes on the clock Villa took the lead via a smart move on the half way by Jordon Doyle who then slid the ball through to Allesandro who neatly slotted the ball past the keeper.
Villa carried on pushing Stockport back and not letting them create much at all. Then once again just like the 1st goal Allesandro was set free one on one with the Stockport keeper ending with the ball in the back of the net.
The lads were now in the mood to play some nice football. Villa took full control of the game by this point. Then out of nowhere Dom Loftus (keeper) booted the ball way up field clearing Stockports back line to put Allesandro clear through on goal yet again. Allesandro neatly rounded the keeper to complete an OUTSTANDING 1st half hat trick.
2nd half began with villa coming close to adding to the score. The lads played some great looking football Stockport already looking like they had had enough. The 2nd half carried on as it started with Villa creating a number of chances. Then with around 15 minutes left of the game Owen Pollitt picked up the ball on the half way line and off he went. Via a couple of one two's along the way he amazingly finished the run with an smart finish from a very tight angle to put Villa 4-0 up. Within seconds of the re start Villa pushed forward for the 5th. James Hussey hit a shot that very slowly crept towards the goal line, Then out of nowhere Jordon Doyle slammed the ball home.
The lads did have chances to add to the score coming very close on a number of occasions. Stockport did not really get involved in this game today Villa far to strong.
Reddish Villa - 5
Stockport Vikings- 0
Outstanding Man of the match performance from Cade Mckenna today.....
Also like to give a mention to Allesandro who was also OUTSTANDING today.
Well done to the WHOLE team.

|Man of the Match: CADE MCKENNA|
|Goals Scored By: SHAUN BURNHAM and EMEKA OBI|
|With only 3 games left to the end of the season this game was HUGE. Avoiding defeat today would leave our promotion push in our own hands. This was a game the lad's could not afford to loose.
As the game began Villa did not start with much pace, 2nd to most of the ball and began to strugle with Puma's long ball, hit and hope tacticks. Was'nt long into the game when Puma's broke through (clearly off side) and sloted the ball home.
The game carried on with Villa on the back foot. Puma's just seemed to keep booting the ball as hard and far as possible not playing much football but were the team that were controlling the game. The 1st half ended with Villa not creating much all half.
Had a chat with the lad's at half time and got them fired up and ready to get back out.
2nd half started with Villa much more involved creating a couple of chances and starting to test Puma's back line. Villa carried on pushing for that all important goal. Then to everyones amazement Puma's were awarding a very un desrved spot kick when there striker miss kicked the ball and kicked Ryan Ross and they both hit the deck. How the ref saw a foul i realy dont know. Puma's put away the spot kick.
If anything the ref did the lads a favour as from the spot kick being awarded the lads bursted into life. Villa then began to dominate the game . Then from a smart move down the left Shaun Burnham put Villa back in the game with a neatly taken effort just inside the box.
The lads carried on putting Puma's back 6 under pressure. Alessandro came close a couple of times only to be denied via a smart save from Puma's keeper. Then from a corner Emeka rose to head the ball into the top corner..GREAT FINISH.
The lads pushed and pushed and came close a number of time's. Time did finaly run out after a great effort from everone on the pitch.
GREAT MOOR PUMA -2
Keep on going boys only 2 games left. Great effort today when we finaly got going. Not a bad result atall PROMOTION is now in our hands...

|Man of the Match: EMEKA OBI and OWEN POLLITT|
|Goals Scored By: OWEN, EMEKA, SAMUEL, SHAWN LAFFY and JAMES|
|With out a doubt the biggest game of the season so far today for the boys. North End have not been beat all season and if we want to finish as champions this was a must win game.
The game started with Villa pushing for an early goal. Some good passing in the middle of the pitch slowly led to Villa controling most of the ball for the first 15 minutes. North End tried there best to create up front but Villa's back four were not letting them have a second on the ball. Villa kept on pushing creating a couple of good efforts at goal. Then with around 20 minutes gone Villa knocked the ball around on the edge of the box. Then with a finish to be VERY proud of OWEN POLLITT smashed the ball in the back of the net with a very well taken volly.
Villa then began to grow as a team spreading the ball around with ease not letting North End play at all. Then from a corner swung in via DOM LESTER , EMEKA OBI put the ball in the net with a neat header on the edge of the six yard box.
Villa were now well on top of the game NORTH END looked in shock. With about 5 minutes left to half time SAMUEL picked up the ball from a deflected clearance and slotted the ball home and rounding off the perfect 1st half.
VILLA-3 NORTH END-0
2nd half began with Villa taking control of the game not letting NORTH END have anything. The boys created chance after chance and should have added to the score. Villa looked very much in control of the game and DOM LOFTUS in net was starting to become a bit of a spectator. With around 20 minutes left of the game SHAWN LAFFY and his never give up attitude forced the NORTH END keeper to spill the ball and he rolled the ball over the line to put Villa 4-0 up. Then with minutes left on the clock Villa had a corner which was swung in via SAMUEL and finished off from JAMES HUSSEY yet another smart finish from the edge of the 6 yard box.

Great team effort today boys. Like i keep saying, get the ball on the floor and PASS around the team and we can beat anyone with ease.

|Villa's 100% home record fell apart today against a very well organized Great Moor Puma's team.
Villa did not start well atall in this game just could not manage to get the ball on the floor and create anything. Great Moor defended with great strenth and didn't give the lads a second on the ball. The game ended 0-2 to Great Moor and i must hold my hands up and say that they desrved the win as they wanted the win alot more that we did. Still only our 2nd loss of the season so keep your heads held high lads promotion still in our hands.

|OUTSTANDING TEAM PERFORMANCE FROM THE LADS TODAY.
Game started with Villa on top playing some nice football. Then from a cross swung in from the right Jordon Doyle pushed his way through to head the ball in the back of the net at the back post..Great Header Son Well Done..
This then gave the lads the confidence to push on and totaly dominate the game. Villa did'nt give Phoenix a chance to get involved in the game. Was only a matter of time before Villa added to the score. Then once again Samuel picked up the ball on the half way and off he went, Finished off a superb run with a lovely finish. Villa 2-0 up.
Not long after our second goal Owen Pollit broke through Phoenix back four to slot the ball home for Villa's third.
Half Time Villa 3-0 up.
2nd half Started as the first finished Villa totaly dominating the game. Dom Loftus in net did'nt realy have much to do all game but id like to mention how good his distribution of the ball was' Causing nothing but trouble for Phoenix. Once again Villa created chance after chance then from out of nowhere Shaun Burnham received the ball on the right wing and went on a mazy run ending up inside the opponents box and finishing the run off with a fine finish. 4-0 Villa. Within minutes of the restart Owen Pollit got his second of the game with some great work from our midfield. Then Shaun Burnham lobbed the keeper from the right wing with about 5 minutes left of the game. Great finish by Shaun one to be proud of. 6-0 Villa . With seconds left on the clock Cade Mckenna put in the seventh with a deflected shot from the edge of the box.

|REDDISH VILLA||2||VS||0||NEW MILLS|
|Man of the Match: DAVID MORROW|
|Goals Scored By: Cade Mckenna And Alissandro Savori|
|Todays game Vs New Mills was always going to be a very competitive game as over the last couple of season's Villa have played New Mills 3 times in the League and not got a single point. Was this our time to get a win that we truly need.
As the game started we knew the weather was going to play a huge part in the game, Not as much the rain but the wind was howling from right to left and stopping Villa getting the ball up field. To say we rode our luck a bit in the 1st half is a bit of an understatement we just could not break into there half at any point due to the wind. Outstanding performance from the whole team keeping the ball out of our net the whole 1st half. New Mills created a number of chances but Villa were not cracking at the back.
Half Time 0-0
Team talk at half time got the lads going. Just had to let them know that the wind was now on our side and to push towards there goal and not look back.
Villa started as well as they could creating chance after chance. Had a number of chances via corners also came close with a couple of neat moves inside the box. Villa were now playing with alot of confidence only a matter of time before we put the ball in the net. Then with about 20 minutes left on the clock Villa dragged the ball forward and smashed a shot from about 25 yards that hit Cade Mckenna on the back side sending the keeper the wrong way.
Villa 1-0 up
Villa kept pushing for the second goal then finaly with around 5 minutes left till full time Alissandro Savori finished off a great move down the left to slot the ball home and finish New Mills off. Created a couple more chances before the end but could not add to the score.
Reddish Villa . 2
New Mills . 0
As i mentioned earlier the weather played a huge part in this game but the Villa lads wanted it much much more.
Once again an outstanding team performance from the lads could not have asked for more.
Well done lads keep up the great work.
See you All Thursday.

|STOCKPORT VICKINGS||1||VS||4||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: JORDON DOYLE|
|Goals Scored By: SEAN BURNHAM, JORDON DOYLE, EMIKA OBI and OWEN POLLIT|
|This was the first time we have come up against Stockport this season. Going by the League table we were up for a hard game, not only have they taken points off the teams at the top they have also scored the most goals so far. Time for the boys at the back to be tested.
Villa started the game off very well. Came close with a couple of moves then about 10 minutes in Sean Burnham hit the ball straight from a frow in with perfection and smashed the back of the net. Outstanding finish.........
Villa pushed on and carried on playing some great football spreading the ball from left to right and not letting Stockport get in the game. It was only a matter of time Villa were going to add to the score. Then from a corner Emika powered a superb header in the top corner of the net. Keeper had no chance...... Then just before the half had finished Villa scored a Third. Jordon Doyle managed to round the keeper and JUST about managed to get the ball over the line.
Great 1st half
2nd half started.
Villa started a bit slow and started to let Stockport have the ball a bit to much. Was'nt long before Stockport started creating chances. Then from a scramble in the Villa area Stockport put the ball in the net. Making it 1-3
Villa had to step up a gear or two as Stockport started to push for more goals. Then after a great pass from James at the back Owen ran on and sloted the ball under the keeper to put Villa 4-1 up. Managed to create a few more chances as did Stockport before the end.
Full Time 1-4
Outstanding performance today boys. Lets keep it up. This now puts us back at the top where we belong....
See you ALL Thursday..

|Macclesfiels Panthers||3||VS||2||Reddish Villa|
|Man of the Match: Samuel|
|Goals Scored By: Sean Laffy and Samuel Aditiloye|
|Where do i start with this one.
From the start it was obvious both teams were up for this one. Both teams started strong and created a couple of chances to take the lead. Then from a poorly defended corner Macclesfield took the lead bit of a scruffy goal but we should have cleared the box sooner. Then before you Knew it Macclesfield were awarded a spot kick (no complaints) witch they slotted home.
20 mins in Mac 2-0 up
This is where we had two options, Put our heads down and let them dominate or show them what we are made of.
Then Villa took over the game. After a good 10 minutes of dominating the game we scored probably our best goal of the season so far. Starting with James at the back we passed the ball around the pitch from left to right then Owen slotted a lovely ball through to Laffy and he did the rest.Great finish keeper had no chance. (outstanding team goal boys)
Half Time 2-1
Team talk at half time was the easiest i have had all season. The boys could not wait to get back out on the pitch, confidence was growing by the minute.
2nd half started much the same as the start. Both teams playing some really entertaining football and both coming really close to adding to the score.
Then out of nowhere Samuel picked up the ball in his own half and off he went. Passing two three four players before drilling the ball in the bottom right corner. Outstanding individual goal once again from Samuel.
Then with 10 minutes left and the game heading to extra time we could not have come any closer. Bit of a scramble on the edge of the box then somehow Villa got a shot off (not sure who) and the ball rolled onto the foot of the post the keeper was stranded but they managed to clear the danger. The ball was then pumped up field and they had a wild shot from just inside the box that struck Ryan clean in the face (great defensive block) Only if the ref had agreed as to the amazement to both sets of supporters on the side line the ref awarded another spot kick for handball. This would have sealed victory to Macclesfield but Dom was not excepting defeat and not for the first time in his short Villa career he got down fast and saved the spot kick. (well done once again Dom).
Full Time 2-2
Extra time started 10 minutes each way. Not much to report in the first ten. Couple of chances yet again from both teams and a lot of tired legs.
Same again some very entertaining football being played then out of nowhere Macclesfield took the lead with a nice move on the edge of the box and a smart finish. Still the boys did not give up they fought all the way to the end. We did in the end run out of time and the ref blew for full time.
Macclesfield Panthers - 3
Reddish Villa - 2
I would just like to add how proud i am of the boys. We played some outstanding football against a very well organized team. Also a reminder that Macclesfield are in the 1st division sitting in the top half and if i was questioning before the game if we are ready to go up a division to the first. You are more than ready boys.
A HUGE WELL DONE FROM ME. GREAT TEAM SPIRIT.

|Man of the Match: RYAN ROSS|
|Goals Scored By: EMEKA OBI AND DOMINIC LESTER|
|Once again Villa did not turn up 1st half very lucky to only be
1-0 down at half time.
For the first time this season i had to give the boys the hair dryer treatment i knew the lads were playing way below par.
We still did not start the best but we slowley began to create chances. Then after a great run and cross from Ali Emeka sloted home from inside the box.
Game from this point on was open as both teams wanted the win. Then with around 20 mins to go Spurley took the lead once again with a scapy goal via a corner. Villa then started to play football for the first time in the game. We missed a number of chances and when we hit the cross bar i was ready to admit defeat, Then With about 5 minutes left to play Dom Lester put the ball in the back of the net with a neat touch and a smart finish.
Well done boys great fighting spirit. Just need to start playing from the first minute and not the 40th. See you all at training Thursday for a bit of fun before the Christmas break.

|Great team effort in this game today from start to finish. Had a number of chances early on but Whaley Bridge had a very well organized back line.
We eventually went 1-0 up after David Obi sloted in from a corner swung in via Alessando, Neat side footed volley.
Half Time 1-0
Same effort from the lads in the second half. Whalley Bridge did have the odd chance but not enougth to worry Dom in the sticks. Had a few chances to go 2 up but could not add to the score. Over all great team performance and an oustanding Man of The Match performance from David Obi.
This now puts us back at the top where we truly belong. Keep up the great work boys.

|Man of the Match: OWEN POLLIT|
|Goals Scored By: SAMUEL, ALLESANDRO AND SHAWN.B|
|Did not have the best of start's in this game. Not much to say about the first half did not play much football had to improve 2nd half.
Half Time 0-0
2nd Half started and we slowly began to start knocking the ball about then out of nowhere Phoenix were awarded a penalty. (this would be there first shot of the game) Dom made an OUTSTANDING save down to his left. This then woke the lad's up. WELL DONE DOM..........
All Villa from then on.
Owen tested there keeper a number of time's only for the keeper making a few match saving stop's. We carried on pushing and pushing but we could not get the break through we deserved. Then finally with 20 minute's left on the clock Samuel picked up the ball just past the half way had a run then BANG from about 25 yard's out drilled the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.
Villa then found there way.
Jammo won the ball back with great effort at the back and floated a superb ball over the Phoenix back four for Allesandro to run onto and lob the ball over the keeper and score. Then with a couple of minute's left Shawn B got in on the act with a bit of a scramble in the box he slotted the ball in the back of the net.
Great man of the match performance by Owen.
Deserved a goal or two.....
Great win boy's well done.
Keep up the good work.

|Great performance today boy's. Back playing football the way it should be played. Some great passing throughout the game and some great individual performances.
1st Goal scored by Cade after Dom's shot came off the post and fell at Cade's feet impossible to miss. Welcome to Villa Cade knew it would'nt take long for you to get your first goal for the club.(many more to come im sure of it)
2nd Goal scored by Samuel. Shot from the edge of the box that the keeper could not keep hold of.
Half Time 0-2
Second half started just as the first. Didn't really give them much of the ball and we played as a team spreading the ball from one end to the other with some good passing.
3rd Goal scored by Shaun Burnham. Great individual goal. Great turn with the ball then curled the ball round the keeper. Keeper had no chance.
On top throughout the game could have scored more.
Great team effort today boy's. Keep up the great work.
See you all at training Thursday.

|Man of the Match: COWBOY RYAN|
|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY 2, SHAWN B & BIG DAVE 1 EACH.|
|A pretty even start by both sides saw few chances created early on & it took a very good goal for Villa to break the deadlock.
LAFFEY got the ball under control out wide left of the box before dipping a shot over the keeper to put us 1 up.
The game ebbed & flowed, 1st 1 way ,then the other, then Villa got a 2nd , almost a carbon copy of the 1st, this time SHAWN B mirroring laffeys effort.. almost from the same spot to give Villa a 2-0 lead going into the break, h-t 2-0.
Pheonix pulled a goal back on 50mins, to be fair it was no more than they deserved given that they tried to play a passing game throughout.
That score of 2-1 remained until the last 5 mins, Laffey got his 2nd & Villa,s 3rd before BIG DAVE nodded home a 4th from a corner to see Villa through to the next round.
Good contest this, well done boys.

|NEW MILLS||3||VS||2||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: DAVE MORROW|
|Goals Scored By: DOM LESTER & SAM.|
|We started slowly again in this match, so much so that it came as no surprise when New Mills took the lead after 5mins, DYLAN doing well to push out a shot only for a Mills forward to slot home the rebound.
DOM levelled things up from a good header on by OWEN.
Still Villa seemed second to the ball far too often for comfort, again Mills went back in front, this time via the penalty spot for a 2-1 half-time lead.
The 2nd half Villa played slightly better as SAM sent 1 of his usual rockets flying past the keeper to bring it back to 2-2.
With in a minute Mills went 3-2 up after Villa fell asleep at the back though this game had become more open by this time.
Credit Mills for playing well & Villa for not giving up, in fact OWEN came closest to scoring the next goal, letting fly from way out only( with the keeper beaten) for his shot to clobber the cross-bar.
So the monkey,s off the back now, we start again & look to go on another winning run.
|27/10/2013 - DIV 3|
|HILLGATE BOYS||1||VS||1||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: JOSH|
|Goals Scored By: ETHAN.|
|Early efforts from ALLY, OWEN & EJ, AMONGST OTHERS WENT EITHER WIDE OF THE MARK OR WERE DEALT WITH BY THE HOME KEEPER.
THE PATTERN OF THIS MATCH WAS SET ONLY FOR HILLGATE TO TAKE A SOMEWHAT SUPRISE LEAD WITH THEIR 1ST GENUINE ATTACK OF THE HALF.
THE 2ND HALF CONTINUED IN THE SAME VAIN, VILLA CREATING CHANCE AFTER CHANCE ONLY TO CONCEED A DUBIOUS PENALTY ON 55MINS, JOSH KEPT THE SCORE AT 1-0 WITH A FINE SAVE FROM THE RESULTING SPOT KICK.
WITH 10MINS, LEFT VILLA FINALLY GOT THE VERY LEAST THEY DESERVED, ETHAN HITTING A CROSS 1ST TIME LOW INTO THE CORNER OF THE NET.
STILL VILLA CARVED OUT CHANCES TO WIN THE GAME BUT IN THE END HAD TO SETTLE FOR A DRAW THOUGH ON ANOTHER DAY THEY WOULD HAVE SCORED A BAG FULL.
THE BOYS DESERVE GREAT CREDIT FOR NOT GIVING UP AT 1-0, A LOT OF TEAMS WOULD HAVE DONE SO, PROVES THE POINT, DON,T EVER STOP BELEIVING.
|13/10/2013 - DIV 2|
|REDDISH VILLA||3||VS||1||HILLGATE BOYS|
|Man of the Match: OWEN|
|Goals Scored By: ETHAN, SHAWN B & OWEN.|
|Not the best of games served up by Villa as they seemed second to everthing, especially in the 1st half, though we did create what chances came along ETHAN, BIG DAVE & DAVE MORROW all seeing shots go wide of the mark.
It was,nt until the 23rd min, that we got your noses in front, a cross from SAM found ETHAN at the far post who found the net with his right foot.
SAM himself belted the crossbar soon after as Hillgate continued to play well without creating much up front, H/T 1-0.
Villa began the 2nd half a bit better gaining a penalty which saw OWENS spot kick saved by their keeper, who to be fair played well throughout.
He also kept out efforts from ALLY & SHAWN B as Villa sort to stamp some hold on the game but it was Hillgate who gained a levelier on 55mins,.
5mins, later we got ourselves back in front, ALLY doing really well down the left before finding SHAWN B, who turned & shot into the far corner of the net.
OWEN then more than made up for his earlier miss by netting from long range to make the final score 3-1.
When you don,t play well & still win you take it though THE LADS should learn from this as there are no easy games in this league.
Anyway we,re all allowed 1 indifferent day.

|CHAPEL TOWN||0||VS||4||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: OWEN/ BIG DAVE|
|Goals Scored By: ALLY, SHAWN B, ETHAN & SAM.|
|We made a slow start this morn, yet still showed enough intent as efforts from ALLY, DAVE M & OWEN went wide of the mark early on.
15mins, in SAM played a long ball through to ALLY who simply lobbed the keeper to open up the score, then within 2mins, another attack saw DOM L shoot for goal which took a deflection off SHAWN B who claimed later, he meant it, "yeah right" !!.
DYLAN was called into action late in the 1st half to push away a low shot bound for the far corner as Chapel sort to get back into the game, H/T 0-2.
Villa started to play the ball around to gain better control in the 2nd period which gained Villa a free-kick, as a result, SAM played it forward, OWEN headed on to find ETHAN in space who again lobbed the home keeper to give us a 3-0 lead.
Credit to Chapel who kept trying to breach the Villa back-line but came up against a brick wall, JAMES, RYAN, BIG DAVE & KILLER MORROW ALL WORKED HARD to make that happen.
SAM got the 4th goal, breaking away to score with ease as Villa are proving a tough nut to crack right now, let,s hope that continues.
top win BOYS credit to all the players.

|REDDISH VILLA||3||VS||1||JUNO UTD|
|Man of the Match: DAVE MORROW|
|Goals Scored By: MR MORROW, SHAWN B & ALLY.|
|Good game this, as both teams played it as football was meant to be played.
Villa had the edge throught the 1st half, bringing out the best of Juno,s keeper who indeed had a fine match.
We finally got our nose,s in front on 25mins, a corner from ALLY caused some panic in the box before DAVE MORROW scored from 6yrds, "what was he doin up there", I hear you ask, laugh.
Juno levelled 10mins, later as a cross come shot spun back after appearing to be going wide, DYLAN got a hand to it but it fell to 1 of the visitors to score.
It was,nt long into the 2nd half that Villa restored their lead, SHAWN B netting a beaut from the edge of the area, SAM created the 3rd 10mins, later, heading on for ALLY to square up to their keeper before placing the ball into the corner of the net for a 3-1 lead.
Every player made good contribution to this team display against a good side, play like this each week & Villa will go far.
TOP MARKS BOYS, T.
OH YES, BIG WELL DONE TO THE REF, HAD A FINE GAME.

|Man of the Match: ALL THE PLAYERS|
|Goals Scored By: SAM,OWEN & LAFFEY.|
|IT,S HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS WHAT TRANSPIRED THIS MORNING ,
NORTH END MISSED A PENALTY EARLY ON WHILE LAFFY FORCED THEIR KEEPER INTO A GOOD SAVE AS BOTH SIDES TRIED TO FIND AN OPENER.
20MINS, IN SAM BROKE THE DEADLOCK , DRIVING PAST 3 PLAYERS THEN ROUNDING THE KEEPER TO SLOT HOME THE OPENING GOAL.
2MINS, LATER OWEN SCORED A CRACKER FORM LONG RANGE TO PUT VILLA 2 UP.
NORTH END WERE AWARDED A 2ND PENALTY 1-2, THEN WITHIN 5MINS, ANOTHER SPOT KICK WAS GIVEN, NOT CLEAR WHAT FOR, & AT 2-2 THE GAME WAS HELD UP WHILE TEAM BOSS DAVE WAS SENT OFF, REASON NOT CLEAR. H/T 2-2.
VILLA WENT BACK IN FRONT AS ETHANS LONG PASS FOUND LAFFEY WHO THEN CONTRIVED TO SCORE A VERY GOOD GOAL GIVEN THE TIGHT ANGLE HE FOUND HIMSELF IN.
A SHORT BACK PASS IN DEFENCE WAS INTERCEPTED BY 1 OF THE HOME PLAYERS, WHO SCORED FROM CLOSE IN TO MAKE THE SCORE 3-3.
WITH LESS THAN 5 MINS, REMAINING THE OFFICIAL THEN ABANDONED THE MATCH,
HERE,S TO ALL THE PLAYERS.
|REDDISH VILLA||4||VS||1||SPURLEY HEY|
|Man of the Match: JOSH|
|Goals Scored By: DOM L, 2 ALLY 2.|
|Villa got off to a good start in this game, scoring after 5 mins, ALLY netting via LAFFEY,S perfect pass.
DOM L quickly doubled the lead firing home, again after good work from SAM , we were without DYLAN , GAVIN & DOM RAFF, even so the team carried on with little pressure from the visitors, mainly down to Villa,s defence with stand-in keeper JOSH showing a clean pair of hands.
Little surprise then that Villa went further ahead when ALLY got his 2nd & Villa,s 3rd, H/T 3-0.
Although the visitors had a lot of the ball in the 2nd period they had little to show for their efforts, in fact it was Villa who extended their lead on 60 mins, DOM L beating the keeper from distance with a free-kick to gain his 2nd of the match.
Spurley Hey did get a late goal but the lads can be really proud of their start to this season, 2 games, 2 wins, not bad at all.
WELL DONE GUYS, T.

|WHALEY BRIDGE||1||VS||4||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: ALLY|
|Goals Scored By: BIG DAVE, DOM L, SAM & JOSH|
|Early pressure from the off saw Villa take a strangle hold in the 1st half, shots raining in from all angles but it was,nt until the 30th min, that we finally got ourselves in front.
Big DAVE rose to head home ALLY,S corner as half-time came, we were still wondering how on earth we were only 1 goal up.
Whaley started the 2nd half slighty better, forcing DYLAN into a fine save round the post.
Villa then stepped up the pace again for DOM L to slot home after ALLY,S shot had been kept out by the home keeper.
No 3 came as SAM rounded the keeper on 5
0mins ,then JOSH netted 5 mins later to give the scoreline some justice.
Whaley did score a penalty on the stroke of full-time but Villa can be really happy with this opening display as everyone played their part, well done BOYS.

|Man of the Match: ENTIRE TEAM|
|Goals Scored By: ETHAN, SAM.|
|What a way to end the season !!, a great team performance wittnessed by a big Villa following.
The match it,s self got off to a bright start with the Boys getting on top early on but it was,nt till around the 20min, mark that we got ourselves in front.
3headers, the latter from BIG DAVE sent ETHAN through to score in the far corner & Villa were somewhat unlucky not to add to that via LAFFEY, BIG DAVE & ETHAN again.
A lthough only 1 up Villa kept pressing while the defence remained rock solid, to the point where DYLAN had no real effort to deal with, H-T 0-1.
We carried on in the same vain in the 2nd period, searching for that all important killer goal, then BANG, what a goal !!.
We know he has his party trick but from fully 25 yds out SAM sent a rocket that their keeper could only admire as the ball flew past him, 2 up, job done.
A couple of stupid tackles were quickly sorted out, though Villa were not going to allow anything to stand in their way of what was to be a fine display.
Manager DAVE thanks everyone for this seasons hard work & team spirit plus all parents for their full support, as shown today.
DYLAN,DIDDY DAVID, RYAN, GAVIN, JAMES, DOM, JORDAN, SAM, BIG DAVE, JOSH, SHAWN, SEAN, HARRISON, CIAN, ETHAN, TAKE A BOW, YOU DESERVE NO LESS, BRILLIANT.

|Man of the Match: BIG DAVE|
|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY-1|
|Villa pulled out a great performence this morning to beat 2nd placed Juno by a goal to nil.
We went in front after 8mins, LAFFEY latching onto a through ball from BIG DAVE to lob the home keeper from the edge of the box.
Chances for both sides did,nt come easy although Ethan just failed to make proper contact from laffey,s cross when well placed while SAM sent a long range effort just clear of the bar, H-T 0-1.
The 2nd half followed a similar pattern, Villa remained strong at the back while the m/field battled to hold sway, both BIG DAVE & SAM winning out here allowing DOM, SHAWN B, LAFFEY & ETHAN to get forward more often than not.
Villa got the chance to increase their lead when Ethan was flatterned inside the box, unfortunatley DOM beat the keeper but also beat the post as he tried to place his spot kick, no worries mate.
JOSH, JORDAN & HARRISON all came on late on to keep it tight to earn a really hard won victory, though well deserved.
The back 4 were teriffic throughout, in fact that goes for the whole squad.

|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY -2|
|A goal in each half settled this contest with Villa always in control.
Shawn B set up Laffey for the 1st early on,in what was a pretty tame affair throughout.
The 2nd came from the penalty spot towards the latter stages, Laffey both earning & converting to make this a good mornings work.
|03/03/2013 - DIV 3|
|Man of the Match: SAMUEL|
|Goals Scored By: JAMES, LAFFEY, SHAWN B & ETHAN.|
|Villa found themselves 0-2 down early on in this encounter thanks mainly to not clearing their lines quick enough.
Dispite being under par we managed to pull 1 back around the 20min, mark, LAFFEY sent over a good corner that found JAMES who netted from about 8yrds out.
This gave Villa something to work with as they began to get into the game for real, but as we went to the break, Hattersley still led 1-2,h-t.
The 2nd half Villa came out fighting, playing far better, the equaliser came from yet another corner, DOM floated it in, the keeper got a touch which sent the ball goal-bound but LAFFEY tells me he got the final nick, so he gets the credit, ( he,ll claim anything lol).
With 11 mins, left Villa were rewarded for keeping the presure on, when ETHAN went round the keeper, decided not to shoot from a tight angle but square the ball back for SHAWN B-to slot home & put us in front for the 1st time in the match.
The come-back was completed via ETHAN,S left boot to give us this 4-2 victory.
Great 2nd half display from everyone, JOSH, GAVIN, RYAN, HARRISON & DAVID gave DYLAN good cover, by the way, good hands DYLAN, while DOM, JORDAN, JAMES, BIG DAVE & motm SAM allowed LAFFEY, SHAWN B & ETHAN to get in on the act.
WELL DONE LADS.

|Man of the Match: SAMUEL|
|Goals Scored By: JORDAN, DOM, ETHAN 1 EACH 1-OG.|
|Took a while to get going this morning though on 15mins SAM played a good through ball for JORDAN to score from the edge of the box.
Villa had things pretty much their own way there after, the 2nd goal coming on 20mins, this time EJ slid the ball into the 6yrd area only for a defender to turn the ball into his own net.
We created more chances throughtout the 1st half, the closest being a DOM effort that hit the post, the half ending with Villa well on top, H-T 0-2.
The pattern continued in the 2nd period which was evident when EJ missed an open goal ( sorry mate ) before DOM cracked home a free-kick from the left to make it 0-3.
LAFFEY, SHAWN B, SAM & GAVIN all had shots either saved or blocked by the home side as Villa sort a 4th goal, that came on the 45min mark, this time EJ smashed home from close in.
Villa kept Cheadle at arms length throughout, DYLAN having little to do thanks to his defence, JOSH, RYAN, GAVIN, HARRISON & latterly SHAWN B doing a sound job, while in m/f & up front LAFFEY & SHAWN B were always a threat as EJ, DOM & JORDAN grew into the game.
Big DAVE almost got his 1st goal for the club, coming on in the 2nd half but the MOTH award quite rightly went to SAMUEL who was superb in this win.
WELL DONE LADS.

|REDDISH VILLA||3||VS||5||NEW MILLS|
|Man of the Match: DEANEO|
|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY 2, SAM 1|
|Hard game this for both sides but it was Villa who scored 1st, SHAWN B heading down for LAFFEY to slot home.
We then increased that lead when SAM fired home with 1 of his specials from 25yrds, the visitors pulled 1 back on 23mins & that,s how it stayed till H-T.
2 Quick goals turned the game into New Mills favour before LAFFEY things up at 3-3, in between this DYLAN saved a penalty while at the other end Villa had a blaitant penalty turned down when LAFFEY got flattened.
New Mills went back in front from a long range free-kick that sailed over everyone, then with time all but up Villa sent DYLAN up with the rest of the team for 2 quick corners, the result however ended with a breakaway for the visitors to seal victory.
Villa can feel a wee hard done by after this, 3-3 would have been about right, so heads up BOYS still all to play for .

|HILLGATE BOYS||1||VS||6||REDDISH VILLA|
|Man of the Match: JAMES|
|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY-3, DOM, EJ & JORDAN 1EACH.|
|It took Villa nearly 20 mins, to get into this game, in which time we found ourselves 1-0 down thanks to a penalty being given to the home side after 15mins,.
Villa did level things up with their 1st real attack of the game, EJ putting in LAFFEY to score his 1st of 3.
GAVIN was unlucky with a block-buster that came back off the home cross-bar as Villa got more into match though DAVID MORROW made a last block tackle clearance with the goal wide open to keep it at 1-1 till the break.
Villa set off like a runaway train in the 2nd period, JOSH went to r/b who along with DOM, now wide right caused havoc, JAMES went into m/f allowing HARRISON to link up with both EJ & LAFFEY down the left.
DOM put us in front before LAFFEY got his 2nd from a DOM corner as Villa pounded away at the Hillgate defence.
Some great football was served up as chances came & went till EJ fired home no 4 on 50mins,.
SHAWN B having had a fine game made way for David (hightower) to come back on & keep things going forward, the presure telling yet again on 55mins, this time JORDAN slotting home from 8yrds out.
LAFFEY gained his hat-trick late on, given he does,nt miss an open goal when given the chance to round off a brilliant 2nd half performance by everyone.
DYLAN, JOSH, RYAN, GAVIN, DAVID & HARRISON kept the ball moving into m/f, allowing DOM,SAM,JAMES,JORDAN,SHAWN B, DAVID & EJ along with LAFFEY to create & play some teriffic football, this was 1 fine win.

|The Boys got off to a flier today finding the net 5 times in the 1st 16 mins,.
EJ got the ball rolling heading home Dom,s corner on 5mins, SHAWN B scored No 2 from EJ,s pass, then LAFFEY added a 3rd aided by good work from Dom again.
GAVIN up from the back lashed home from 25yrds & within a minute LAFFEY laid on No 5 for SHAWN B for his 2nd.
His HAT-TRICK came on the 1/2 hour via a wonderful cross from Sam,
JAMES then got in on the act, allowing the ball to drop before beating the keeper from the edge of the box.
Villa thought they had a penalty but a free-kick was awarded just outside the area almost on half-time, up stepped DYLAN who placed a great shot into the top left hand corner to make it 8-0 at the break.
We made changes in the 2nd period & for a while were guilty of shooting from anywhere but once we started passing again the 9th goal came quickly.
Afine move ended with SAM finding LAFFEY who scored 6yrds out & a move of the same quality saw CODI hit the 10th.
EJ finished off a really good day by cracking home again before Lisbon got a late goal with time all but up.
Great to see everyone there today & getting time on the pitch, only CIAN missed out but his time will come in the new year.

|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY & JAMES|
|We never really got going in the 1st half of this game, the home side finding themselves 3 up inside 15mins,.
Although Villa,s raids on goal were few & far between, Laffey managed to pull 1 back just before the break- H-T 3-1.
New Mills then scored a 4th though 3mins later James headed home a Shawn B corner to make it 4-2.
For 10mins Villa took control & should have taken at least 1 of the chances they created, but failed to do so,
The league-leaders then grabbed a 5th, which ended any thoughts Villa had of a come-back.
3 further set-backs with our mid field being caught flat footed & out of position meant we ended up with a final score of 8-2.
Put it down to a bad day at the office, but we,ve got to realise that if we want to take on the top 2, then we have to start games on the front foot.
Learn from this & we progress.

|Man of the Match: SEAN LAFFEY|
|Goals Scored By: LAFFEY 3, JORDAN SHAWN B & EJ I EACH|
|An outstanding display saw Villa proceed to the next round of the cup after brushing aside the league leaders.
Laffey got Villa off to great start netting after a long solo run & although the visitors pulled level on 15mins Villa were soon back in front via a long range free-kick from Jordan.
James sent 2 headers just wide of the mark as Villa continued to press.
As last wk, Dylan was given little to do thanks to some splendid cover from his back 4 while up front Laffey was always a handful, only fitting then that he scored Villa,s 3rd on 40mins.
Sam, Jordan & James worked hard in mid-field to release both EJ & Dom down the flanks as the home side sort more goals.
Shawn B tapped home no4, then EJ shot passed the keeper for the 5th before Laffey claimed his HAT-TRICK with no6.
When you consider today,s visitors had prior to this game only conceeded 3 goals all season every Villa player deserves a big pat on the back for their effort,s.

|Villa got off to a good start & were a goal up inside 10mins, James got on the end of EJs corner to plant a good header into the far corner of the net, EJ then made it 2 from Laffey,s fine pass while at the back Liam, Ryan, Gavin & David gave keeper Dylan good protection when ever Rovers ventured forward, H-T 2-0.
The 2nd half followed the same pattern, Jordan scoring twice in 2mins, the 1st from Harrison,s cross, the 2nd via David,s free-kick.
Shawn B made it 5 ,again good work from Laffey his run & cross setting up the goal, Jordan then got his hat-trick off a defender as Villa were now running riot.
James notched his 2nd, hooking home from the left side of the area before Jordan, after a mad scramble inside the 6 yrd box stabbed home number 8.

|Goals Scored By: EJ 2, DOM, DEANO, JORDAN & SAM 1 EACH.We started slw|
|We started slow in this game but somehow found ourselves a goal up when Dom fired home after 12mins.
The home side were somewhat fortunate to draw level via a shot that came off both bar & post for keeper Dylan to collect, the ref deciding the ball had crossed the line, though from where she was stood was dubious to say the least.
Hattersley scored again before EJ levelled from the left then Jordan restored Villa,s lead with a good take & finish to put us 2-3 up at H-T.
Two quick goals early in the 2nd turned the tables yet again, here 4-3 down Villa finally started to play.
Deano got Villa back on track with a neat goal while Sam unleashed 1 of his specials from some distance to put us back in front.
EJ got his 2nd & Villa,s 6th with time almost up fro a final score of 4-6.
Cian & Sean Laffey both made sub appearence,s to mark their 1st starts for this season so well done to both.
Bearing in mind Cian hit a post while Shawn B clobbered the crossbar & a referee who did Villa no favours this ended up a very good win, so well done BOYS.

|Villa came out on top against a stubbon Great Moor side in what was by far the best game to date this season.
Both teams started well but it was Villa who created the better chances only to go behind after 25mins & dispite more openings being carved out Villa found themselves 0-1 down at the break.
The 2nd half resumed in much the same manner, no suprise then that Villa pulled level on 35mins, Harrison netting from the edge of the box.
The Pumas keeper then denied Ethan twice & kept out a James header from a corner as Villa sort a winner.
That came on 50mins, again James rose to meet another Dom corner, only this time he sent his header beyond the keeper,s reach to give Villa a deserved win.
Full marks to all the lads on this display & a big welcome to James & David on their 1st starts for Villa, top stuff.

|Man of the Match: JORDAN DOYLE|
|Goals Scored By: JORDAN DOYLE|
|As this was a friendly match & certain players were played in different positions it,s hard to judge a performance that came down to a bad 1st half, then a much better 2nd period.
Goals from a flighted free-kick & a penalty gave the home side a 2-0 half-time lead.
Villa,s response was rewarded with a well taken goal from Jordan & with that came a flurry of chance to tie the score up, though we either missed the target or found their keepers body in the way.
A draw would have been a fair result given Villa,s 2nd half effort but we have got to realise that we need to start games on the front foot, if we sort that then we have no problem with most teams.

|Man of the Match: DEANO|
|Goals Scored By: DEANO 2, DOM 1 & EJ 1.|
|The 1st round of the cup saw Villa make a bright start to the game going ahead on 8mins, after a fine move ended with Deano finishing well to put Villa 1 up.
Dylan had to make a fine save to preserve the lead, turning round a shot from distance, 1 of the few chances Phoenix created in the 1st half.
It was another flowing move that moved Villa 2 ahead, Dom laying on the final pass for Ethan to rap home, H-T 0-2.
The 2nd half ebbed & flowed though VILLA remained strong, both in defence & mid-field.
Villa scored again after 42mins when Deano appeared to be tripped inside the box though the ball ran to Dom who beat the keeper at the far post.
With the game all but won Deano helped himself to a second, Dom again being the provider .
Every player deserves a mention today because we actually played as a team, some good passing moves as proved by the 1st 2 goals, solid in defence, quicker in mid-field & chances taken up front, very good all-round.
Well Done Lads, more of it.

|Goals Scored By: JOSH DEANE 1, ETHAN 1.|
|Villa lost their 100% record to a last min, goal this afternoon after fighting back from 0-2 down,
We started this game in the same manner as last wk, almost 2nd to every ball.
Villa fell behind from a corner which should have been cleared at least twice, then fell 0-2 down when a through ball escaped everyone, to somehow find it,s way into the net. H-T 0-2.
We finally got going through a well taken goal from Deano, this was quickly followed by Ethan netting after a strong run to level things up.
Villa were now on top & went close more than once to taking the lead, the closest being an effort from EJ which struck a post on 50mins.
The visitors were restricted to rare raids on the Villa goal but found a winner with almost the last kick of the game, we backed off & paid the price.
That said we deserved something out of the game, if only for the 2nd half display but a hard lesson should have been learnt today in what you do without the ball, defend from front to back.
Heads up guys,see you Wednesday.

|Villa never really got going during the 1st half yet still managed to score twice, first through Kodi with a shot that came out of the clouds & then Ethan made it 2 after good work from Shawn B.
It has to be said that had Lisbon took their chances & keeper Darren not been so alert the h-t score-line would have read somewhat different.
The 2nd period began much the same & Villa paid the price, conceeding a soft goal from a bad back-pass.
That was the wake-up call for Villa who began to attack with more menace.
Dom scored from the spot after Ethan had been brought down, the home side got a second but Villa hit straight back, Dom getting his second & Villa,s fourth.
We then missed chance after chance in the latter stages to score more goals but after an overall display like this you would take a 4-2 win away from home any-time.

We conceeded first yet again but levelled within 2 mins,Josh Deane slotting home from Sam,s fine throughball.
Villa keeper Darren took a wallop defending his sticks & had to be replaced by Dillon who kept the score all-square with a wonderful save just before the break in what was a pretty even 1st half, H-T 1-1.
The Boys made an excellent start to the 2nd period, Deano got his brace via a good run & cross from Ethan, Shawn B added a3rd from close in on 35mins as Villa continued to pile forward.
Doyle,s Devils now completely in control netted again when Dom scored direct from a corner, then not to be out done, Sam produced what is fast becoming his party peice, an absolute rocket from outside the box.
The visitors pulled 1 goal back with time running out, still enough time though for Jordan to make it six, pouncing at the far post.

Shawn B got in on the act after 32 mins, lobbing the keeper from some distance though he did say later, "it was a cross," honesty does pay it seems !!!, H-T 1-4.
The 2nd half began the same as the 1st, until on 45 mins Sam crashed home a beauty, fully 25 yds out & although Blue Star pulled 1 back Dillon restored Villa,s 4 goal advantage with another fine effort from outside the box.

The Reddish boys looked the better team straight from the whistle and were rewarded with a goal within 4minutes with some strong challenges and neat passing in the build up to Shaun Burnhams cool finish. Another strong display from Cian Devanney was rewarded with a goal before a defensive mix up at our end resulted in Stanley grabbing a goal back.
2-1 to villa at half time.
A goaless second half but one that was not short of incident. 5 minutes into the half Shaun Burnham was denied by the crossbar and Dom Lester denied by a fine save from the Stanley keeper. End to End stuff for the majority of the match and it was hard to call if we would score another 5 or if Stanley would grab an equalizer. A couple of saves from Dylan Somerville ensured we did not concede and the game finished 2-1 to the Villa boys.

|It's officiall, we can only win in the sunshine! Reddish Villa B Team acheived their first league victory of the season with a hard determined and mature performance against the Brendon Bees team in the baking heat of sunny Abbey Hey.
Finn Collins in net steadied everyones nerves with a couple of good solid saves early on whilst the team found it's feet. A non stop performance from a midfield consisting of the Dom's ( Dom Lester and Dom Rafferty ) with Sean Laffey contributing with some great runs and some great tackling. Josh Deane was a livewire up front and worked hard coming deep to win the ball in Midfield , winning numerous corners and eventually causing the opposition to "double up" on their marking. A slotted goal from Domonic Rafferty five minutes before half time was calmly put away following a corner from Domonic Lester that the opposition keeper fond too hot to handle.
The outstanding performance's of the day were delivered by the rock's of the team at the back with Patrick Smyth and Dylan Somerville dealing with everything that was thrown at them. Dylan received the Man of the Match Award for his mature performance and his great workrate.
Reddish A 0 - 10 Brendon Bees.
Not quite the result we wanted but some good individual performances. Debutant keeper Steven Downs did as well as anybody could have hoped and will definately be one for the future.
Another good performance from Eamon Dolan and Shaun Burnham. The midfield trio of Jordan D, Ethan Riley and Shaun Burnham tried their best and put up a battling performance against a very physical side. Both Connor ang George never stopped up front in each half but today was not to be their day.
Man of the Match Joshua Downs stood out with a non stop display and deserved a goal or two playing in defence and bursting forward when he could.

|A great performance by the boys on Saturday saw a well deserved victory.
Going in at half time having completely dominated the first half the boys were unlucky not to have scored a couple with Mike Gaughan having rattled the bar and Josh Deane having a low shot saved. Within a couple of minutes of the re-start Brendan Bees scored with what was their first real attack of the match.
The Boys need not get disheartened though and showed a great fighting spirit to level within the next 5 minutes. Following a great run from his own half a parried shot from Josh D game out to Domonic Lester who slotted his shot home with great power and composure.
With only a minute left on the clock the boys continued to press on and following another saved shot from Josh D the ball fell to Liam Cawley who swept the ball home to score his first goal for the club. ( The 1st of many we hope! ) A great display from the boys that should give them confidence to kick on from here.
Once again Finn was immense in net and 'Man of the match' Patrick patrolled the defence and was the backbone to the team. With Patrick having such a great game it gave licence for Sean Laffey to get forward a little more than normal and this helped the team greatly.
Well done boys.

|A great battling performance saw the lads earn a point out of the game. The boys went one down after ten minutes with a stunning shot that our Goalkeeper Finn could only watch as it flew in off the post. Not letting their heads go down the boys battled on and got their reward with a great individual goal following a mazy run from captain Josh Deane. The second half was goalless but did not lack any excitement. A string of superb saves from Finn kept us in the game and we were unlucky not to grab a late winner with Sean Laffey going close with a volley from a great delivery from Domonic Lester.
Some mature performances by Liam and Patrick allowed the more experienced team members to get forward and keep the ball in the "right" end which I was really pleased to see. A good shift put in by all - well done boys.

A deflected shot just before half time wrong footed our keeper to see the boys go 1-0 down however the boys did not let their heads go down. Man of the match Sean Laffey won a clearance, moments into the second half and headed a return straight over the keeper from a full 35 yards!
Other notable performances were put in by Connor, Patrick, Liam and Eamon and our debutant Ethan had a great first game showing good understanding of the game and putting in some good strong, brave challenges.
Well done boys.

|Sadly our A Team did not have the greatest of results going down 7-1 to the Stanley A Team.
Although Stanley dominated the game for large parts of the match there was some positives to take from the game with solid performances from Shaun Burnham and Dom Lester. As always Finn showed great commitment and made some great saves. Move of the match came from Dom linking well with Josh D who ghosted past the defence to cross the ball to Nathan Lee to score with a good composed shot past the keeper.
Well done boys.
