Derby Day - Reddish not Manchester! 17th April 2010.

Derby Day for everyone saw the Villa under 9's take on local rivals Reddish Phoenix.
A competetive first 'B' game saw the boys go down 1-0 in a game where they deserveed a draw if not the win. Great performances from the midfield pair of Ethan and Jordan showed the opposition how much we have come on in recent weeks since the last time we played them. A solid display from the defence and a change in role for Steve Downs almost payed dividends.
The 'A' game saw the Villa boys take a 2 goal lead only to be pegged back when we lost our shape in the second half. Two goal Dom Rafferty picked up the Man of the Match award. Noteworthy performances put in by Josh Deane especially in the first half and Dom Lester who were both involved with both goals. Liam Cawley at the back put in his now usual steady shift in a position that he is fast making his own.
